The Oregon Arts Commission was established in 1967 to foster the arts in Oregon and ensure their excellence. Nine commissioners, appointed by the governor, determine policies, establish Long-Range Plans, and review applications to grants programs to determine funding levels.

Oregon Historical Society
A state-chartered mission of collecting, preserving, and displaying Oregon’s historic records, photographs, paintings, and museum artifacts, OHS contains one of the most extensive collections of state history materials, over 85,000 artifacts, including ancient objects from the earliest settlements. OHS Education Programs include internet resources to supplement classroom curriculum, Folklife cultural programs that focus on the diversity and beauty of arts and traditions, and teacher training and workshops on Oregon history.

Oregon Main Street
Oregon Main Street Program encourages preservation of historic character of commercial neighborhoods. It assists communities in restoring and retaining the historic character of downtown areas and historic commercial districts, stimulates business investment, creates employment opportunities in downtown areas and historic commercial districts, and encourages heritage tourism.
